BRIEF/

WATCO wanted a video commercial that connected the Drink from Tap mission to represent water as essential to life. It wanted to highlight the mission but instead of focusing on this achievement, they wanted to keep it subtle for global audience. The ask was to connect water to something as a builder of health and human potential.

THE APPROACH/

We decided to feature Shilanand Lakra, the hockey player from Odisha, for this commercial. Because who can be better than a sportsperson – and that too from Odisha – to represent water as healthy while subtly highlighting the DFT mission of Odisha. We showed Shilanand as playing, while water is energising him. Alongside, we added a voiceover from water’s point of view. Our argument was simple: pure water builds winners. And from there, mentioning the government promise of 24×7 access to every home felt like a natural conclusion.
